Who am I

I'm a creative, researcher and design educator. I've worked in higher education for over 20 years and currently hold a senior lecturer position teaching graphic design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have a background in design, programming and psychology, from which I draw various skills and approaches to underpin a constant curiosity about the world. Open to collaboration opportunities.

Neighbourhood 29 Ten Years On

To mark 10 years since This is Neighbourhood 29 this site reconnects with some of those involved to uncover their memories of that time and discover their hopes for the future. A small team of NGO staff and volunteers decided to look back at the 2011 photography project. See the project

This is Neighbourhood 29

This is Neighbourhood 29 was a photographic project created by young people aged 7 to 17 living in the Fushe Kosove area of Pristina. The children were Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian, the poorest community in the poorest country in Europe. It was supported by the volunteers of Kosovan NGO The Ideas Partnership as a part of their Summer Programme. See the project

The children were from the local community of Gusinje and recruited as participants in a summer school organised by B3P and supported by international volunteers and staff from PSK Hrid.
